Merged Cell Formatting

I have a workbook that is formatted so that when text expands past the
border of the cell it wraps to the next line and the height of the cell is
automatically adjusted.

When I use the same formatting for a group of merged cells it does not
automatically adjust the height of the cell.

Is there anything that I can do to make it adjust the height like the
unmerged cells?

Excel has a problem auto-fitting merged cells.

You can resize manually or via Macro. Jim Rech has written
code for this.
