Hi!
I am using Windows XP Pro (Swedish version). When trying to install
programmes in Russian (except those which have an option for installation
language English/Russian) I get only question marks instead of text. This can
be remedied temporarily by changing the default language under Advanced in
Language settings and restarting computer. But then some Swedish programmes
stop functioning, whereby one has to revert the procedure. This is a
cumbersome method. Is there any way to solve this problem?
I would be thankful for any help.

Either install a Swedish version of your software programs
or install a Russian version of Windows XP on a separate
partition and dual-boot.

A good third-party partitioning program is Partition Magic 8.

Yes, Microsoft offered a solution (though not working in every case)
for XP only called AppLocale.
Please see detailed instructions in the
"Full Russification: Russian programs and file names"
section of my site.
