menu drop down list

i am trying to create a menu drop down list.....using layers and behaiviors....
i created two layers:

1) FIRST LAYER will have a behaivior set : in which when mouse isover will
show me the SECOND layer

2) SECOND layer is set unvisible....containing a vertical LINK BAR

the question is that : i want to be able to click on one of the hyperlinks
of the link bar....so, i want do do something to stop the second layer from
dissappearing!...how can i do this???
