I'm running vista HP 64bit on a dell xps 420 Intel q6600 quad,added 2gb of
ram to total of 6gb,all Kingston memory 800 mgh,now my vista memory score
went down from 5.6 to 5.5,latency is 5.What gives,Thanks

Use CPU-Z to look at the CL value of your DDR2 RAM modules....

yeah cpu-z shows cl 6 on 2gb ram--shows cl 5 on 1gb of ram,that sure is
false advertisement on Kingston part,they show a latency of 5 on the 2gb
modules

In general, CL 6 is slower than CL 5. And when you use SPD for the
motherboard to detect the RAMs, it will choose the slowest CL, which is
CL 6 in your case.

In general, CL 6 is slower than CL 5. And when you use SPD for the
motherboard to detect the RAMs, it will choose the slowest CL, which is
CL 6 in your case.

Check if your BIOS support memory overclocking. Try setting the CL 6 RAM
to CL 5 (no guarantee it would work).
