Memory Usage

My PC is really slow at the moment, keep getting the "virtual memory too
low" warning message.
When I check task manager -> mem usage, it reads ~156,000. If I sum up the
mem usage column under task manager -> processes it is in the region of
~65,000. Is there any reason for this discrepancy, or is there a tool
somewhere that will give me detailed memory usage stats so I can find out
what is eating my memory?

I have tried full virus scans, spyware etc and am sure it is clean.

Thanks,
steve

What is the size of your page file? Make sure its set to 1.5 times bigger
than your total install RAM

To find the page file, do this:

Right-click MY COMPUTER, click PROPERTIES. Npw choose the ADVANCED (right)
tab, click PERFORMANCE OPTIONS & you'll see the size of your virtual memory.

If that file is 1.5 times bigger than your RAM then the problem lies
somewhere else.
