Memory Usage and How to do a memory dump!

I have been having a problem with speed of my computer for sometime now, and
lately I have been getting the message that my virtual memory is full and
that it will need to increase it. However lately my internet or messenger
programs shut down during one of these episodes. I was told that I could do a
memory dump, but the help and support section wasn't very clear and nothing
really happened, can someone help me fix the problem or atleast tell me how
to do a memory dump so I can fix my computer.

How much RAM memory? How large is your hard disk and how much free
space?

How much use is made of the pagefile? Graphics and camera related
programmes, especially where editing is done, generate hgh demands for
memory.

Use page file monitor to observe what is the peak usage. Start it to
run immediately after start-up and look at the log at the end of the
session.The log is Pagefilelog.txt. If you right click on the file in
Windows Explorer and select Send to, Desktop (Create Shortcut). The
same applies to XP_PageFileMon.exe.
