memory dump probs and funny lines

I have two problems.

First:
During gameplay of some games (Counter-Strike and Halo,
when played in safe mode) where I get blue screen that
says I have had memory dump problem (STOP 0x000000C2
(0x00000007, 0x00000CD4, 0x00020281, 0xE219EBF8). It
occurs at randomly and I have to restart my computer. I
have no idea why it happens or how to fix it and I also
have looked on the Microsoft site but can't find any clear
way to fix this.

Second:
When trying to startup certian games (Command and
Conquer: Generals, Battlefield 1942, Unreal II, and Halo)
all I get is a screen full of vertical or horizontal
stripes of different colors. When this happens you have
to restart the game.

Any help is greatly appreciated, if you can't answer this,
please pass these questions on.

Hi Chris,

Did you have those problems from the very beginning after
you installed XP? If so did you do a fresh clean install or
just upgrade over an older version of Windows? Also...
Try Win XP's System Restore to return your system to a previously stable date:

The symptons suggest that your video card is done get a
refund.
