Memory could not be read

I get "Instruction at OX745f2780 ref memory at 0X00000000 Memory could not be
read." I have slos lost sound. Can any suggest a fix or a larger hammer?

Do a cold restart of the computer. If message reappears or
sound still lost, re-post with a lot more information, esp.,
what was done prior to the error message, and also some
information about the computer.

Reinstall the audio driver.Visit the manufacturer's website to download
and install the latest audio driver.
