"Memory could not be 'read'" Application Error

M

Mike

When I close Internet Explorer, I always get a message
window that comes up. This message window says:

"The instruction at "0x02602db8" referenced memory
at "0x02be3ab4." The memory could not be "read." Click
on OK to terminate the program.

The series of numbers and letters is always different,
but this is what I just got when I tried to close
Internet Explorer.

When I click on "OK," I used to get my desk top; now, I
have to quickly click on "OK" several times for that to
happen.

I have looked all through the Microsoft site and don't
see anything that can help me. Is there anyone out there
who might be able to help?

Thanks,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Scan the system with Ad-Aware (www.lavasoftusa.com) and eliminate the
malware products causing the abnormal program termination.

If the problem continues, reinstall Internet Explorer using this method (for
XP):
