Media Player process (wmplayer.exe) implicitly started

I'm using Windows Vista Business 32-bit version.

I can notice wmplayer.exe has been started at the Vista startup. I
have never specified wmplayer.exe in startup program list anywhere,
and cannot find media player in the startup program list and registry
(by Windows Defender and msconfig.exe)

I don't want wmplaer.exe will be started anymore after the login. How
can I disable wmplaer.exe to be launched implicitly?

Thanks

Hi,

The media player is not included in the startup axis by default, so there
had to have been some system modification for this to happen. Have you
checked your user profile's startup folder?

Thanks for your replay.

Unfortunately, wmplayer.exe neither registered in start menu (you
mentioned), nor in HKLM_..._Run registry key.
I'll have to find out the other reason who launch wmplayer.exe.
