Media Player Copying

When I insert a music CD into drive D, Media Player opens up and starts
copying immediately. All I want to do is listen to it.
How can I fix this? Is there a setting somewhere?

Open Windows Media Player,Select tools > options > copy
music and uncheck the "copy cd when inserted" box.This
should do it.

Go to Tools, go to Options..., Click Copy Music Tab,
unselect box that says "copy cd when inserted".

drive and select properties.Select the tab that says
autoplay and select music cd in the box.After that select
an action to perform when the cd is inserted.I always
check prompt me each time to choose an action (that's just

You already did.This is the MVP community newsgroup.I'm
just not one of them.They'll usually specify that they are
an MVP when they reply to your post.I come here to read
others posts,most times someone has already had the

Hi. Hold down the left shft key and insert your cd. When you hear it spin,
go to My computer and go town to your cd drive. Right click on it and click
on properties. Go to auto play and choose the content and chose the action.
Click ok and it should work. Good luck.
