Media Player 9 Error HELP!!

When I try to load the new media player 9 version onto my
XP professional setup, I always and I mean always get an
error message saying it was unable to load and to try
again. I've tried and tried..but still not able?

When I click the media player icon, because it appears as
if it is loaded.. it give me the error, AN INTERNAL
APPLICATION ERROR HAS OCCURED....

Any suggestions?

Oh, I did load windows Media Plus on my computer prior to
trying to load media 9, but I didn't like the Media Plus
and removed it and canceled my credit card charge. I
wonder if somehow doing this corrupted my media files??

Try downloading and reinstall.
Try windows update first,if no dwnload,get it from
microsoft.com/downloads
