Media Player 10: minimode bar buttons not active

I downloaded Media Player 10 upgrade. When I activated
the minimode bar to show on the taskbar, the play, pause,
and advance buttons were deactivated. How do I get them
activated?

You need to reboot your machine.

ive got the exact same problem
anytime i have an active x controlles wmw or video on a website
wmp10 appears but its all black under control bar and cannot click on play
or whatever button.
(regular wmp10works ,its only web based version thats not working)
