I have Media Center 2004 and want to upgrade to 2005. Is this possible? If so
where can I get a copy of the 2005 upgrade?

You can't.

Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 is an operating system that is only
available on Media Center PCs. Because of special hardware requirements, Windows XP Media
Center Edition 2005-based PCs are available only from Microsoft PC Manufacturer partners.

The "only available on a new PC" model was dropped ages ago. (I guess M$ is
too busy pushing it's newest latest greatest "upgrade" to be worried about
updating Web pages for it's last latest greatest "upgrade ;-)

You can purchase MCE 2005 from any one of a number of online retailers.

Note to the OP. This is an OEM product and is subject to the licensing
restrictions for OEM versions. It is not (nor is it available as) an
upgrade. It will have to be clean installed.

Some PC manufacturers offered an upgrade from MCE 2004 ~ 05 but this was, as
a general rule, a time limited offer . I suppose it wouldn't hurt to contact
them but I wouldn't hold my breath there.
