Me to XP - no scandisk ??

In Win ME I regularly used Scandisk to chk for errors.
Win XP Pro has none. Is there another disk maintenance
tool I should be running ? I have Cleanup & Defrag, but
that's all I can find.

Surprise! Scandisk has been replaced by "Disk Error Checking", more lovingly
known as chkdsk (you'll have to buy the vowels). To use chkdsk, right click
on a drive in My Computer and select Properties. Open the Tools tab, and
there it is.

Andy, Open up control panel and right click on Cdrive
Then highlite properties. Select TOOLS on the window
that pops up You will see 2 options 1 for scan disk and
the other for defragment
