mdm.exe ordinal not found

Can anyone please help?

Everytime I try to open internet explorer 6.0 I got a pop
up message saying

"mdm.exe ordinal not found
The ordinal 313 could not be located in the dynamic link
library OLEAUT32.dll"

I have tried to copy the same file to the WINNT/SYSTEM32
folder with the newer version but it won't allow me
(message says "there has been a sharing violation" since
this is a system file.
Perhaps anyone knows.

Did you install any new software recently.

Check also for parasites.

Remove all the parasites on your computer.
Delete all the spywares and bad BHOs from your system.
