you can format the drive in windows
you might possibly be able to fdisk from windows, however I don't
recommend it.
Use the BOOTABLE floppy/cd that came with the drive. Don't have? get
it from the manufacturers webpage, as a bootable CD ISO/image I
believe now. OR get the bootable floppy files- from www.bootdisk.com
