Open a single IE window.
Maximize it.
Hold down the Ctrl key, click File and then Exit.
Internet Explorer should now open maximized.
If not, repeat the above using the "Shift" key.

Hi, michigan.

As Bob said..

Or right-click on the IE icon and click Properties. On the Shortcut tab,
set the Run box to Maximized.

But you didn't really say WHICH application you want to run maximized. If
not IE, please post back with more details of what you are trying to do.

hi all, thanks for the replies, i am setting the computer up for my

window she opens is maximised, i know i managed to do it on XP but i am not
sure how.

Hi, michigan.

Say Hi to Grandma for me. I'm a Grandpa, age 72 and have been wearing
contact lenses since 1963. I also like to have most windows maximized. On
my 17" LCD at 1280 x 1024, I can crowd in a lot of info, but I still need to
hit the Magnifier button now and then.
i know i managed to do it on XP but i am not
sure how.

Same way as in Vista. ;<)
