Matrox Millenium P650 new component

Hi, I'm having trouble creating a component for a Matrox Millenium P650,
so much trouble that I've tried loading the drivers on the the xpe after fba
manually but the driver says that it can't find any compatible hardware. Yet
all works perfectly in xp pro.

After FBA there are no display adapters in control panel but the adapter in
in display properties is vgasave.

I can partly load the drivers but the the device name in device manager is
P650/P750 which is not the same as in xp pro (Matrox Millenium P650),
In display properties/advanced/adapter it still says vgasave.

Any ideas ?

It sounds like you're pulling in the wrong driver from the .inf. Many .inf
files describe multiple entries for the same driver set since the same
drivers may work for different versions of the card. Since PNP isn't
finding the exact device driver, it's defaulting back to vgasave. You need
to figure out why you aren't finding "Matrox Millenium P650". Did you prune
the import of the .inf incorrectly?
