Marking emails as replied or forwarded in Windows Mail

Am I missing something? When I reply to an email or forward it on, Outlook
Express marks the envelope icon (in the From column of the Inbox folder) with
an arrow to indicate the action has been taken. Windows Mail doesn't seem to
do that, at least not by default. How do I set it up so that it does?

When I reply to an email, the original email icon changes from a gold
envelope to a white envelope with a purple arrow.

That'a exactly what I want it to do, but it doesn't work that way for me. The
gold envelope changes to white when it's opened but if I reply to it, it
remains white without an arrow so I can't do a quick visual check of which
emails have been answered. So what's wrong with my setup?

It may be your display and/or drivers..?

In addition to the purple arrow (<-) for replies,
I see a blue arrow (->) on forwarded email messages
and a red X on suspected phishing messages

Hi Dave, thanks for that. This is a new Advent laptop with pre-installed
Vista Premium so I'd be surprised if the drivers were faulty. Same goes for
the display which shows no sign of faults with any other software.

Seems very strange though - Windows Mail works the same as Outlook Express
for everyone except me. One could begin to get paranoid!

I've sorted out the problem - I've installed Thunderbird instead!
