Not really but it depends on what version of Outlook you are using, which
you neglected to include in your first post. Rules get more granular as you
move ahead in Outlook versions.
For instance, in Outlook 2003, you can use the rule "after arriving - with
specific words, blah blah blah-delete it-mark it as read"

account will be deleted without reading.

| I never delete any mail permanently - I let it fester in the trash
| until it gets removed automatically. Many items of mail that arrive
| are obvious spam, so I delete them. I'd rather NOT have the unread
| items highlighting on the trash folder, because anything highlighted
| indicates mail that needs handling. This stuff has already been
| handled.
