mapped drive free space error

hello,
xpprosp2 pc shows network drive free space exactly same as local hard
drives free space.
if user deletes files from network drive, free space there does not change.
if user deletes files on local drive, network drive space is changed
accordingly.
he cant copy files bigger than reported free space to network drive.
other 50 pc's and servers report correct free space on all drives.

drives are mapped from several servers, including server2003, w2k, linux.
no quotas are used and only one pc has this problem.

please give me any hints to resolve this problem,
