MAPI Error when Exporting from Mail to Exchange

I am trying to export my Vista MS Mail folders to Outlook. After selecting
export to Exchange servier, I get an error that says: "... an error occurred
while initiating MAPI"

Any suggestions?

This usually means you're trying to export to Outlook without having Outlook
installed; Outlook must be installed and setup as it provides access to the
..PST file or Exchange Server mailbox.

I am experiencing the identical problem but *I DO have Outlook installed*.

How do I troubleshoot this?
