Map folder on Workgroup Server from Domain Server

Hi everyone,

my configuration is similar to this:

DMZ
WG ----Router---- DOMAIN (10.10.2.0)
10.10.1.1

I have a domain with 2 Win2k servers on domain DOMAIN and a single server on
workgroup WORKGROUP on the DMZ. Routing wise we are fine: The machines on
the domain can see what they need to see from the DMZ and vice versa. Only
problem is that I cannot browse the workgroup machine from the domain net
neighborhood and therefore cannot map any of its drives etc... (bit of a
problem when it comes to backing up). I can map a network drive from one of
the domain machines though on the workgroup server...

Any ideas??

Many TIA,

Kou

Thanks Stephen,

looks like the thing to do... next obstacle would be "seeing" the DMZ server
with Veritas in order to back it up... I do have the remote agent installed
but still cannot see much...

Any pointers?

Try mapping the drives before starting Backup Exec. then
backup the mapped drives. One thing I have noticed with
Backup Exec is that if you have the RestrictAnonymous
setting set on the remote machine then you may not be able
to see the remote machine from within Backup Exec.

Easy one.. You need to open the ports as identified in
Microsoft Knowledge Base Article - 179442.
