Manually Running Rules at specified intervals automatically

Can anyone tell me if rules can be set up to run at automatic intervals in
Outlook 2003 rather than run manually or only after message arrives.

I flag my messages and then want them to go into a specified folder. I've
created a rule to move all messages with flags into this folder. I would
like it to run automatically at specified time intervals rather than my
having to run manually.

Thanks.

I'm trying to keep my inbox clean as I get in excess of 100 emails throughout
the week. Otherwise a search folder is a good idea. Thanks.

In that case move the messages directly to the folder where they should end
up and use Search Folders to work with them.

That's what I'm currently doing after I flag them. I was hoping to set up a
rule or something that would automatically move them for me after I flag them
or run automatically, say every 30 minutes, on my inbox until I can address
the action rather than having to flag them and then run the rule manually.
Thanks

I'm not really clear on your sorting issue. Why not use a rule to move them
for you when the messages are being received. You can see all your new mail
in an unread mail Search Folder. From here you can flag them as well and
they will end up in the For Follow Up Search Folder. The physical location
is irrelevant for Search Folders. Why would you want to move around the
physical message several times?

You'll need an addin to move messages later. I use auto-mate, but there are
others.

Thanks Diane. That's exactly what I'm looking for. However, this is on my
work PC and we aren't allowed to purchase and install add-ons. Oh well. At
least I know it's out there.

First, the message does not come into my inbox already flagged, I flag it
after I receive it. Second, I need to keep my inbox clean otherwise I will
get messages that my inbox is full all to quickly (this is a work pc). Third,
I don't like working out of my inbox. I prefer to keep my inbox for incoming
messages only at which time I decide if it's an action item or an information
item. The flags help me to indicate which type of action the item requires.
I just needed to know Outlooks capabilities for running rules on items that
have already been received. Apparently, I need an add-on to do what it is
I'm looking for.

Thanks.
