Management Console services snap-in gets error when looking a the extended
view.

The exact same error occurs with the Local Computer Policy snap-in when
looking at the extended view.

This all worked fine before adding the Oct security updates.

Thanks for the tip. It all works properly now.
Just to mention here that there was also a problem that I was having with
being unable to view Macromedia flash content on a web page even with the
flash plugin installed manually. With this update to the registry, all's
fine again.
