Managed Office Interop

Hi

It would be great to get some sort of managed code interface to whatever
version of office apps are on the target machines, in vs2005. This is way a
..net app can check the version on the fly and provide access to the relevant
features instead of sticking to only those provided by office 2000. Also we
wont have to keep only office 2000 on our development machines, which is
getting increasingly difficult to do as developers like to have the latest
version of office too.

Anyone listening out there please make a note.

Regards

I remember that I have heard this request at least one time and I
remember too that someone from Microsoft has noted it.
