Managed MAPI Service Catastrophic Failure error

When I reboot my computer or the computer has been on for awhile I get an
error message that reads "'Managed MAPI Service Catastrophic Failure error'
'Unknown error'" This started after I installed Norton Internet Security 2005.

When I try to send email I get an error that reads "The Specified server was
found, but there was no response from the server. Please verify that the
port and SSL information is correct. This also started after installing
Norton Internet Security 2005.

I can send email fine using Outlook Express. My ISP is Earthlink through
Time Warner Cable.

Did you try disabling email integration in Norton?
