Run a /thorough/ check for hijackware, including posting your hijackthis log

When all else fails, HijackThis v2.0.2
(http://aumha.org/downloads/hijackthis.exe) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware with
assistance from an expert. **Post your log to

http://castlecops.com/forum67.html,

analysis, not here.**

If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame in admitting this
isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a local, reputable and
independent (i.e., not BigBoxStoreUSA) computer repair shop.

Did you try the HIJACK THIS

Have you also tried looking through your System Configuration utiliy?

Start> Run>type msconfig

in the SC utility click the startup tab and manualy sort through the list
for any strange occurances. You can reference the Starup processes be going
to www.processlibrary.com

You can also try dumping your temp folder:

Start>Run type %temp%

this opens the temp folder, there you can click Edit at the top of the
window and "Select All" then File and select Delete this will block all the
files in the temp folder and delete them.

I would also try Disk Cleamup utiltiy

Start>All Programs>Accessories>System Tools>Disk Cleanup

Go through Add/Remove Programs for any unknown programs, this also helps to
familiarize yourself with what programs you have on your computer.

Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs

What about running anti-virus software? www.grissoft.com makes a terrific
free updateable a/v program called AVG, download it

and check for updates then run a full scan of your computer.

Hope this helps...

Seasons best!

And if your feeling daring you can always purge your system cache:

Start>Run>type sfc /purgecache

just be sure to reboot your computer and run System File Checker:

Start>Run>tye sfc /scannow
