making fractions in word

Thanks Ed for your time and interest.

I did place the.dot file in the startup folder and have accessed the file
like you have said and it DOES now allow the edit button in macros to be
clicked on - however it then comes up with the window error that sais
"Project Locked - Project is Unviewable"

I guess I would lke to work out why it is like this BUT I also do not wish
to waste you time and so I can use the program as it is , and then change
font style and size manually. I have appreciated your program and will place
it on the AUMHA forum for softawre recommendations if you dont mind. I am
using your program to simply type up fractions for my Daughter to practice
as extra homework which has gone down like a tonne of bricks as you can
imagine- so a big thanks from me and a grumble from her!!
Any other ideas on the editing or would you prefer I email you - I am happy
to muck around and solve it with your help.
Thanks for a neat little program
Mike

To edit macros in an Add-In you need to _open_ the Add-In, not simply have
it "loaded." A template in the Startup folder will be loaded. Its macros,
etc., will be available to any other document or template. However, it is
not open for editing, hence is "locked."

Try this. Open the dot file. Press the F11 key. When you are in the VBE,
press Ctrl + R. You will see two Templateproject (VertFrac). Click on the
plus sign in front of each to expand it. One of these will expand but the
other will give you the unviewable message. Double-click
InsertVerticalFraction in the expanded list. You should be able to modify
the code. Be sure to save and close the dot file after you make the
modifications. You should exit and re-enter Word to register the change.

If you still have problems, email the information. I can change the macro
and the send the dot file to you in about 30 seconds. This is far easier
that typing detailed instructions.
