Making a List from Windows Explorer Details View

I have a number of files (saved as internet shortcuts or links) saved to a
folder in Windows Explorer. I would like to select all of these files and
save them to a single word document also in a list view. I have tried to do
this but all I get are the shortcut icons. I want the list view because it's
easier to read and I want to be able to sort them and edit this list with
summaries of each item.

Is there any way to do this?

I don't think this does what I asked to do.

I want to capture a directory listing of files (that are all internet
shortcuts) and save them to a word document so that I can edit the list.

I tried to select all files, from the directory, did "copy" and paste, and
all it does is paste icons - not a detailed listing like you would get in
Windows Explorer when you select the "details" view listing of files.

Is there something else I need to do, or did I not ask my question properly
the first time?
