Making a disk Vista bootable

First I've installed XP on a 3rd disk then installed Vista on nvidia raid
array.
Now I want to remove the 3rd disk, however I cannot boot from stripe disk.
It has a bootsector and \boot folder but I just copied \boot folder from the
Vista setup dvd. Now I have no boot menu.

How can I make that stripe disk bootable? I can start Vista from 3rd disk's
bootloader.

Nime,

First make sure disk you have Vista on is a primary NTFS partition, then
remove your "3rd disk", boot from Vista DVD and try using Startup Repair.

1. Booted from 3rd disk with XP
I just simply copy from c:\boot to c:\boot2 on XP (because Vista locks
the BCD file)

2. Booted from 3rd disk with Vista
Then, on Vista, copied d:\boot2 as c:\boot

3. Removed the 3rd disk and booted from the raid
That's all!

I'll miss boot.ini a lot : )

As a summary, I used that 3rd disk because of, Vista doesnt support nvidia
raid driver when you try to install from setup dvd by booting. I had to
install Vista from Windows XP desktop. Looks like nightmare : (
