Make a custom style globally available to all templates

I've created a custom style and saved it into Normal.dot but want it to be
available to all other templates and documents created before I created this
style. Is there any way to make the style globally available other than by
using Tools; Templates & Add-ins. When I open a different template or a
document created last week and want to use my custom style, so far its not
visible in the style gallery unless I add it each time through Tools,
Templates & Add-ins. There must be an easier way!!

Manual propagation to all templates and documents using the Organizer
is the usual solution. www.editorium.com has a bunch of useful tools
for doing things like this for very cheap.
