Major errors with Vista.

I just got Vista, and I've installed it twice. Both times, after installing,
first use and restarting, it brought up Chkdsk, for some supposed errors.
Once booting, it would bring up messages about hard disc errors. It becomes
impossible to install software, and soon becomes unusable, with things like
IE and Defender being deleted (Program Files disappears). I suspect Chkdsk
carved up my hard drive.

I suspect it has something to do with my setup: 320GB hard drive, split in
two, 160GB each for XP and Vista. I don't think Vista likes that.
