Major crash - no keyboard or mouse functioning

Our Fujitsu-Siemens Scaleo crashed a couple of weeks ago. Tonight we've
managed to get windows up and running by copying and renaming a few files
, but after starting windows we are not able to move on. Windows are not
communicating with the keyboard or the mouse. Any suggestions on how to fix
this problem? We have drivers on cd, but no help since we don't get to open
any folders or anything without the keyboard...

You do not have windows 'up and running' if no drivers are loading for the
mouse. You need to do a Repair setup.

Also, you should check the mouse and keyboard to see if they work in another
system, and are plugged in completely.

The keyboard is working just fine in recovery console. We're also aware of
the possibility of making a repair install, but are trying to avoid it since
we still hope to get this fixed without loosing our data.
