mailing list/directory

I have formed a mailing list with vertical columns with name and addresses. I
would like to add new names and would like to be able to alphabetize my list
without having to manually insert the info in the correct line. However, I
need some way to link the info in the columns together because when I have
tried to click the button to sort in alphabetical order then the names are
sorted but not the info in the addresses lines so now all the names are with
the wrong addresses.
any ideas?

Use Excel. Or Access.

Make sure that each address block is a single paragraph. Do this by using a
line break (Shift+Enter) at the end of each line except the last. Naturally,
if you want to sort alphabetically by last name, you'll either have to have
the names last-name-first or you'll have to ensure absolute consistency so
that you can sort by Word 2.
