Mail to a list of categories in Outlook

Hi,

I think this might be an Exchange 2003 question rather than an Outlook
one, let see...

We are using Exchange 2000 and Outlook 2000.

We have loads of different contacts in our public folders, business
contacts in different counties for instance. Now we
would like to send an email to certain categories of these.

But, I cannot find a good way to select the contacts by category AND
send an email to them, OR make a distribution
list.

The problem is also the stupid thing with Exchange/Outlook that the
categories are stored in the client registrys...

Now, can anyone out there tell me if these things is addressed in the
new version of Exchange/Outlook ?

Thanks for your input,

Regards
Lars Brandt

All versions of Outlook can do this:

Switch to the By Category view.
Select the categories you want to send to.
Choose Actions | New Message to Contact

Switch to the By Category view. You can then select any category and choose Actions | New Message to Contact to generate a message to everyone.
