Mail sent to a distribution list is not being delivered

I have Outlook 2003. It manages my AOL mail via IMAP.AOL.COM. I recently set
up a distribution list (DL) with 39 e-mail addresses, including my own. When
I try to send e-mail to this list here is what happens:
I put the DL name in the To field and enter the Subject and my message.
I am able to expand the list to see all the addresses.
I click Send.
The mail goes to the Outlook Outbox.
Then it goes to the Outlook Sent box.
Then it goes to the Outlook Sent Items in IMAP.AOL.COM box.
Finally, it is delivered to one address from the list (not mine, and not
an AOL address), but to none of the others.

This happens (or doesn't) whether I use semicolons or commas as address
delimiters within the DL. (I have set Outlook to accept commas.)

All suggestions gratefully accepted!

Enable diagnostic logging to see what's happening between Outlook and the
AOL server. See
