Mail removed from server when downloaded, cannot export or send ms

I am using Outlook Express 6.0.2900.2180...

I configured it to use my yahoo POP mail account, and checked off 'leave
mail on server' option since I only need the client to view email while I am
not connected to the internet. Well, began downloading a message, but there
was a memory error and I had to restart outlook. When I went to send/recieve
messages, it downloaded all my email from my yahoo account. However, to my
dismay, not only did it download them, but it also deleted them from my inbox
on yahoo. I went back to the 'leave mail on server' option, and it was
unchecked.

Is there a way to get all that email back up on to the server?

I am also trying to export the email to a file so that I can still access my
email on my PDA, and other computers because I still need to access some 4000
emails from multiple machines in many locations (which is why I needed the
'leave mail on server option)! However, when I try to export, I get "The
export could not be performed, an error occurred while initializing MAPI."
Does anyone know what this is? I keep getting this after rebooting.

Finally, I tried just emailing myself all the emails back to my yahoo
account. Everywhere I saw, I specified my account as "(e-mail address removed)".
However, I get the following error:

"The message could not be sent because the server rejected the sender's
e-mail address. The sender's e-mail address was '(e-mail address removed)'."

It appears that Outlook is sending my email out with the top level domain
(tld) of "com" instead of "fr". Is there a place I could be overlooking?
Under tools>account>properties, I have the "fr" tld in use under both email
address and reply address in the General tab, which is the only place I see
to include the tld.

Can anyone help with (1) putting my mail back up on the server, (2) getting
my export function to work, and (3) enabling my outlook to send emails?

This is just a big mess, as this was the first time I used outlook and it
just trapped all my email onto a laptop I hardly use.

Thanks to anyone that can help.
