Mail merge in publisher for post cards layout

I am trying to do a merge into Publisher 2003 for post cards. When I use the
catalog merge, the finished output shows the same repeated on a sheet of four
post cards. What I would like to do is have only one name per post card per
sheet - or have four different names on the post card sheet. The layout is
for a 1/4 size post card with a layout of 4/page. Is there a "trick" to get
this to work the way the merge worked in Publisher 2000?
