Magicolor QMS 330 - Paper Jam on exit error?

I am getting a paper jam on exit error on this printer even though there's
no paper jammed.

So, it works fine printing, but after every sheet I do I have to pull out
the fuser section and re-insert it!

Does anyone know what causes this problem?

Sounds like your have a bad exit sensor. The exit sensor's job is to let the
printer know that the paper has exit out of the printer.

Thanks for the tip, it would make sense since there really is no paper
jammed.

Do you know if this is something user serviceable / replaceable, or am I in
for a lengthy and / or costly repair job? :-S

things to check:

It is likely the fuser exit sensor is not working correct (ie stuck or
lagging)
open up the fuser tray, remove the fuser oil roller and lift the black
guide. there should be a little black lever around the middle which senses
the paper passing trough. Check if the sensor underneath this lever is in
place.

also possible (even though I haven't seen this only once is the lever behind
the paper exit cover above the fuser tray
try to set paper output to side face up to see is this is the cause

have you checked if the paper size is correct ?

and about self servicing your printer............ it all depends how nervous
and skilled you are, if you want I can provide a service manual (about
10Mb).
