Macros

Bob

Hi, when I open OfficeXp WORD, I get an error message
advising me that "This file contains macros with expired
or revoked signature. Since running under High Security
Level, these macros will be disabled." I clicked OK,and
got another error message, "The macros in this project
are disabled. Please refer to the on-line help or
documentation of the host application to determine how to
enable macros." I do not have / I did not create any
macros (the only thing that I can think of is that
another program might have installed a macro) and would
like to know how do I get rid of these error messages?
Thank you, Bob

Yes I have but since I did NOT create a macro, I don't
know what to do (i.e. WHAT macro do I enable if I did NOT
create any macros). Thank you

The message is most likely coming from a global template or add-in. If you
set macro security to Medium (Tools | Options | Security | Macro Security or
Tools | Macro | Security), you'll be offered the choice to enable or disable
them. If you also, on the Trusted Sources tab of the same dialog, check the
box for "Trust all installed templates and add-ins," then macros in Word's
user template, workgroup template, and Startup folders will be trusted.
Unfortunately, this trust does not extend to the Office Startup folder,
where many add-ins are installed, but you may get a chance to trust them
permanently the first time they load after you change the security level. To
find out what add-ins you may have, see
