Macros on a global template

Guest

In the office where I work, we use Word on a network and use several
different templates. In one of these templates, we would like to have two
macros but instead of going to each computer to record these macros, is it
possible to 'attach' these to a global template so that it is done once?

We have tried, but it doesn't appear to be working.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You could put the template into your workgroup templates folder, if it is a
document template. That is, if the macros are specific to the documents
produced from your template, you want to keep it a document template. If
they are used in many documents, you would probably want them in a global
template. In either case, they need to be made available to each computer.

For more on the different kinds of templates, tabs on the file new dialog,
and locations of templates folders see
