Macros button in the tool bar vanishes (Word)

Hi,

I have the following problem. I have created macros in a word doc, but the
macros buttons disappear from the toolbar. The toolbar is still there, and
the macros still exist in a file, so I can run them if I click on
Tools-Macro-Macros. The disappearance is not consistent, though. Some of
the macros that I have created are still in the toolbar, but some are not.

Any solution to this problem?

Thanks for your help!

The problem may be that you have saved some of the buttons in a template or
document that is not always available. When customizing toolbars, shortcuts,
etc., you must always be aware of the context in which you save the
customization.

When the Customize dialog box is open, you must make sure that "Save in"
(bottom of dialog box) is set to the template or document into which you want
to save the changes. If you want the buttons to be available to all
documents, you may want to save the customization in Normal.dot.

In order for the changes to remain, the template or document in question
must be saved. In case of Normal.dot, you can save the changes at once: Press
and hold the Shift key while you select File > Save All (note that Save All
is only there if you press and hold Shift). If a dialog box opens, asking
whether to save changes to Normal.dot, click Yes.
