Macro Security Set on High in Excel XP

R

Randy

My PC has Windows 2000 and Excel XP SP3. When I start
Excel, the macro security level is set to High as a
default (so I can't run macros). If I pull down the Tools,
Macro, Security page and try to back down the Security
setting to Medium or Low, it doesn't "take" and will stay
set at High if I pull the menu down again....Any
suggestions on how I can change the Macro Security
settings to Medium or Low? Thanks...

Is it on a network and they have perhaps set it to High and not given you
permissions to change?

I think you have to save the workbook and perhaps leave Excel and come back
for it to take.
