macro not opening file

I saved some web pages through web page scraping software. I open these files
in explorer view through "open with excel" menu then file gets opening. With
excel
menu "open" also the file gets opening. But if I try to open the same file
with the help of macro the error message "the file with these name not
available" message is
coming. How to open these files with the help of macro?

I think you need to look at the extension of the files. You Expoloer option
is hiding the extensions. Turn on the extensions as follows:

1) Right click start button
2) Select Explore
3) Select Tools -Folder Options
4) View Tab - uncheck hide extensions for known file types
5) Press Apply to all folders
6) Go to directory where files are locate. Check to see if the extensions
are .xla, .xlam, .xlb, .xlc, .xld, .xlk, .xll, .xls, .xlsb, .xlshtml, .xlsm,
..xlsmhtml, .xlsx, .xlt, .xlthtml, .xltm, .xltx, .xlvw, .xlxml.

I think the problem is the files are not .xls Maybe xla or other
