Macro button on toolbar

Hi! I created a macro in Excel and placed a smiley face button on the
toolbar to run this macro. The spreadsheet resides on a network drive;
however, others are not able to view the same macro button when they open the
spreadsheet. How can I "install" the macro for all users (without going to
each computer and adding the button to each person's toolbar). Is that
possible?

You could create a custom menu using VBA which will run when the file is open
and create the button, then additional code to remove the button when you
close the file.

Hello - whenever I need a macro button I simply make my own within the file
on a new or existing tab. Using your Drawing Toolbar, draw a rectangle. Right
click on it to "assign a Macro" to it; a pop up window will show the
available Macros. Choose the Macro you want, click ok and you're done. You
can add text to the button by right clicking as well.

Now when you place your mouse over the rectangle the little "hand" appears
just like when you surf online and run your mouse over a link. Click the
newly drawn box and the Macro runs. It's in the file so all users will have
it.

Hope this helps / applies to your issue.

Regards,
Mike
