Your post makes absolutely no sense, you don't say if you are referring to
an error, a problem with access event viewer or an error you see in event
viewer...cryptic posts don't give us any information.

If the system is hanging, try the following and there's more to event viewer
then just the error, there's information within:
First, be sure your antivirus software has the latest definitions and run a
virus scan.

Second, download, install and run Ad Aware:
www.lavasoftusa.com
Note: you should always be well backed up before running an application of
this type.

If your system is clear of viruses, open Control Panel, open System, go to
the Advanced tab, click Settings under Startup and Recovery, remove the
check from "Automatically Restart" under System Failure. This will cause
the system to blue screen instead of restarting on errors and the
information on the blue screen may give a clue as to the source of the
issue.

Open Control Panel, open Administrative Tools, open Event Viewer, look for
errors corresponding to the crash, double click the error, the information
contained within may give a clue as to the
source of the problem. If you don't understand the information inside, the
third button down in that dialog box will copy the information,
you can then paste it into a message and post it here and maybe we can
figure out what is going on.

Assuming you have an XP CD and not a recovery CD, place the XP CD in the
drive, when the setup screen appears, select "Check System Compatibility,"
the report it generates may point to problem hardware or software on your
system. If you do not have an XP CD, you can download this application
known as the Upgrade Advisor from the following site:
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/howtobuy/upgrading/advisor.asp
Note: If you have access to a broadband connection it might be best to
download using that as this is a rather large download.

Check for the latest drivers for your hardware, especially your graphics
card and soundcard and all peripherals connected to your system. Do not use
Windows Update for this, go to the device manufacturer's web sites and if
you install updated drivers, ignore the message about drivers being unsigned
by Microsoft. *Before installing any drivers, be sure you are well backed
up and it's probably a good idea to manually create a restore point in
System Restore in case you have problems as a result of the driver update
and note, System Restore is not a substitute for a backup. Start\All
Programs\Accessories\System Tools\System Restore

I does the NAV (Lat. Def)scan and even Boot virus scan
using Symantec CD, both virus clear except Alexa (data
miner) and sucessfully removed it with Ad Aware from
lavasoftusa. Uncheck the "Auto Restart" as according to
your advice under System Failure. I got it!! 2 types of
Stop message encountered i.e:
i) DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL(more frequent)
ii) PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGE_AREA
Action taken: Clean Installed with OEM ACER Recovery CD
with basic application software installed i.e,OS XP Home,
Nero Express 6.0,Logitech wheel mouse,Darfon Magic
keyboard and SmartLink Int. Modem. Clean Installed does
not help also. Stop message keep on appearing. Is it
hardware fault!! Even interchange 128mb & 256mb SDRam one
at a time, stop message repeated. Sorry for the late reply
cos' I'm going to nail it. Thanks for your guidance MS-

Check www.nero.com for any updates to that software, check for the latest
drivers for all hardware.

If you have special drivers or software installed for the keyboard and
mouse, try removing them and see if they work using the drivers supplied
natively with XP. With your software removed, the system should detect the
mouse and keyboard on reboot and install its own drivers. If the problem
does not appear using XP's native drivers, then you've found the culprit.

Check for the latest XP drivers for all other hardware.

There is an indication in the errors of a possible memory issue. There is a
free memory check utility at the following site:
http://www.simmtester.com/PAGE/products/doc/docinfo.asp

Be sure the specs on your memory sticks are properly matched as mismatched
memory is an issue with XP.

In replying to your suggestion, I already upgraded my Nero
version and uninstall Darfon Magic Keyboard,Logitech Wheel
Mouse software and temporary uninstall Smartlink Modem. I
noticed that now the only one blue screen error message
PAGE_FAULT_IN NON_PAGE AREA plus troublemaker Win32k.sys.
Is this system file corrupted? Performed memory tester
with Memtest86+,Maxtor's Powermax & simmtester (Result all
PASS). On www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/xp/1042606242
claim that RAM memory speed setting is the culprit,if so,
Please advice. Thanks for all your recommendation.

It might be mismatched memory. Have you added memory, if yes, try removing
one module and then the other and see if you still get the error.

The fact other errors disappeared would seem to indicate the culprit in the
other error was some of the software installed for these other devices but
you'd have to add them back one by one to see which one.

If the above doesn't resolve the memory issue, I suggest you repost the
question to the windowsxp.hardware newsgroup.

I am pleased that you gave me such a speedy respone to my
query. On mismatched memory issue, Is it Infineon 128mb
(pc133)& Kingston 256mb (pc133) attached side by side is
considered a mismatch?. Can I operate the pc (gameless)
without both SDram attach?. I hope this is not a silly
question. Thanks & bye

The two memory sticks, though both PC133 may have different Case Latencies
and I believe there may be another spec as well. On 9x systems, this hasn't
been an issue but XP is very picky about memory. I can only suggest trying
with one and then replacing it with the other and see if you still have the
problem. If not, my guess is XP is having a problem with the two memory
modules which often need to be identical. You might have to replace them
both with two exactly identical modules.

This is really not my area and I'm sure others will say they system defaults
to the lower case latency of the two modules when two are installed and/or
it can be adjusted in the BIOS. First, I'm not saying CL is the issue,
there may be other spec factors and second, in XP depending upon motherboard
and some other hardware issues, we've noted problems with regard to two
seemingly similar modules causing problems with XP.

I have an Asus CUSL2 motherboard and it is notorious for being extremely
sensitive with regard to memory modules and the two having to be virtually
identical. And I can attest to the problem from personal experience with
the board.

Hence, when it comes to this type of issue, you really should pose the
question to others who have more knowledge about memory and there may be
such people on the windowsxp.hardware newsgroup. I know the issue, I've
seen the issue, I have personal experience with it but I really can't tell
you what to do. In other words, I can diagnose it but I can't fix it.
Nonetheless, based on the error you've described, it sounds like a
mismatched memory issue of some type.
