Lsass.exe System Error

E

Earl Partridge

Windows XP machine...
I've read several tips on fixing the problem, and most all require the machine to be
booted... somehow. This machine will not boot beyond that error, not in normal mode,
not in safe mode, or any mode. Will not boot from floppy or CD. Can not get to Setup
to be sure Floppy and CD are 1st and 2nd boot choices.

I have downloaded a supposed fix, RegCure, but it needs to be installed on the machine
in question. But can't boot it.

Any thoughts?

Lsass.exe is a Windows program. Setting the device booting order is
a BIOS setting which is run before Windows even attempts to load. To
get to your BIOS settings, you have to press a key early in the boot-
up sequence. The actual key varies but usually this key is indicated
briefly on the screen early in the boot sequence. Find out what this
key is and hit it to set your device order to boot your machine. If
it doesn't display it, find out what motherboard you have and
research the manufacturer's website. There is no reason you
shouldn't be able to boot from a CD or Floppy.

RegCure NOT. ReCure is not a malware remover.
Lsass.exe can be the Microsoft Local Security Authority Service or one of
many Trojans. Try MalwareBytes Anti-Malware from http://www.malwarebytes.org

if you have the BIOS set to stop upon error, it will do just that, go into
the BIOS and check if you have that setting, if so change it to do not stop
on error, of course this will not allow you to document future blue screen
errors, (you would change it back so you could document it).
also what is the error exactly give the exact wording
