Hi
I have a Windows 2000 Pro PC with SP1 and every time it
starts up I receive the following error message:

lsass.exe entry point not found

The procedure entry point_ui64toa could not be located in
the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll

When you click OK, the following message appears:

System Shutdown This system is shutting down. Please save
all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes
will be lost. This shutdown was initiated by \

Time before shutdown: 00:00:59

Message

The system process 'C:\WINNT\System32\Lsass.exe'
terminated unexpectedly with status code 128. The system
will now shut down and restart.

You have a bad version of the file msvcrt.dll. You can try booting into
recovery console and replacing the file with a known good version of the
file. You can try steps similar to the following Windows XP article:

324762 Error Message: Procedure Entry Point Not Found in Msvcrt.dll File
